Frequently Asked Questions
Yaksha Prashna is a monthly Indian magazine focused on curiosity-driven learning through stories, quizzes, science, history, contests, moral inquiry and more.
Yaksha Prashna magazine is designed to spark curiosity in everyone, from young children to grandparents. Its straightforward and simple language makes it perfect for children aged five to sixteen.
Yaksha Prashna, our very first magazine, is launched to make learning more fun through stories and questions.
We chose the name Yaksha Prashna because it comes from one of the oldest quiz stories ever told, from the great epic, the Mahabharata. Long ago, stories like this were not just for fun or history. They were told to teach lessons, share wisdom, and make people think. Just like that, this magazine will bring you interesting stories, questions, and ideas that help you learn while you play.
Because the best way to learn is to keep asking and answering, just like in Yaksha Prashna!
Yaksha Prashna is written in simple, child-friendly language that children can understand on their own. Each edition contains 27–28 short stories and knowledge pieces, and each one takes just 1–2 minutes a day to read. This makes reading a daily habit without pressure or boredom.
The magazine uses bright, colourful illustrations that naturally attract children and keep them engaged with meaningful content, helping them spend less time on phones and television and more time with real knowledge.
Yaksha Prashna is not just another dump of facts, it make the reader involve in the stories, motivates to read, pushes to think and explore further.
Yaksha Prashna goes beyond stories. It helps children stay ahead in general awareness and builds confidence in group discussions, debates, quizzes, and classroom conversations.
The content explains the logic and science behind everyday things and happening around the world, encouraging children to ask “why” and understand how the world works. This develops reasoning skills, curiosity, and clear thinking from an early age.
Yaksha Prashna is designed to be accessible to every family. An annual subscription costs ₹365 per year, which is less than ₹1 per day.
At this cost, children receive a full year of structured reading that builds knowledge, curiosity, and confidence, making it one of the most cost-effective learning investments a smart parent can make.
Curiosity is how children naturally learn. When children are encouraged to ask questions, they don’t just memorise facts, they understand ideas. Curiosity-based learning helps children think independently, connect concepts, and develop a genuine interest in knowledge.
Children who learn through curiosity become better at reasoning, problem-solving, and logical thinking. They are more confident in expressing their thoughts during group discussions, debates, quizzes, and classroom interactions, because they understand the why behind what they know.
Most importantly, curiosity-based learning makes education enjoyable. It turns learning into a daily habit driven by interest, not pressure. When children enjoy learning, they stay engaged, retain information longer, and grow into lifelong learners who are eager to explore the world around them.
